This retired couple splits their time between the beaches of Del Mar, CA and the Midwest. For their coastal abode, they desired a home inspired by city and sea and designed for comfort. We assisted with the partial remodel of their home, which included three bathrooms and a revamp of their outdoor patio and exterior areas. For each, we create floor plans and elevations and sourced finishes and furnishings. With the final touches in place, the room now features stunning craftsmanship, like the bleached live edge table with lucite base, the Saarinen dining armchair, and custom cabinetry throughout. We also layered dramatic art, sculptural lighting, and pops of color to add focal points to the space. The resulting home feels coastal yet warm, clean-lined yet bursting with this couple’s personality.
